Reflexology is an ancient art that focuses on specific areas of the hands and feet. There is evidence of this healing treatment being practiced 5,000 years ago in Asian cultures. The reflexes are stimulated and encourage the nerve conduction and blood flow to the correlating areas of the body or internal organ systems.

Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial release is deep tissue work that works through engaging the myofascial tissue restrictive barrier. This tissue is loaded with a constant force until tissue release occurs. Practitioners use knuckles, elbows or other osteopathic tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia. The therapist moves slowly through the layers of the fascia until the deep tissues are reached.

Lymphatic Drainage

A lymphatic drainage massage uses very light pressure and long, rhythmic strokes that increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in your body. It helps direct these toxins into the organs that can properly remove them. The lymph system is part of your body’s immune system and helps fight infection. A trained practitioners’ hands can apply pressure to re-stimulate the natural contractions of the lymphatic system.

Medical Massage

Medical massage is outcome-based massage therapy.  After a thorough evaluation and assessment by the medical massage therapist, the therapist applies a variety of therapeutic modalities to target a specific problem(s) the patient presents with.  Medical massage treatment will focus primarily on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis.

Swedish Massage / Deep Tissue

Let our specially trained therapists perform a soothing and relaxing massage based on the needs of your body.  Therapy pressure may be increased to deep tissue therapeutic massage which utilizes medium to firm pressure that will release the stress and tension that your muscles are holding on to. You will leave feeling vibrant and rejuvenated.

Reiki Healing

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.  It is administered by hovering hands above the body and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us.  The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words:  Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy".  So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."  A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.  Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being.

Craniosacral Therapy

This intelligence expresses itself through the subtle rhythmic motion of the Cranial-Sacral system, which is composed of the fascia, cranial bones, spine, and cerebral spinal fluid housing the central nervous system. Your therapist will massage your head, neck and face using specific techniques to target the pressure points in these areas to relieve pressure and discomfort. Cranial-Sacral Therapy can be beneficial for many conditions including neck and back pain, computer stress syndrome, headaches, fatigue, mental stress, sleep disorders, emotional imbalance and chronic pain conditions.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular therapy is a program of recovery from acute and chronic pain. Trigger point Pressure is usually applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbows. This approach brings balance between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. The American Academy of Pain Management recognizes this form of therapy as an effective treatment for pain caused by soft tissue injury such as a muscle strain. After the muscle is relaxed through massage therapy, lactic acid is released from the muscle resulting in improved blood flow.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork. Shiatsu therapists apply finger and palm pressure to energetic pathways called meridians to improve the natural flow of energy throughout the body.
